Collins Okechukwu Obasi

Collins Okechukwu Obasi is an emerging leader and a young scholar. His worldview is shaped, informed, and guided by the philosophy of “leaving the world a better place than we found it.” He is an advocate for youth inclusion and gender mainstreaming in the public sector. Collins is a very hardworking, dynamic, optimistic, courageous, and determined go-getter with an ideal passion for data-driven research and evidence-based policy.

He served in the Programmes Department of the African Youth Growth Foundation between 2018 and 2019, where he initiated, executed, volunteered in, and implemented several projects and carried out a series of advocacy and campaigns to expand the frontiers of constructive engagement of youth in Democratic Governance and Sustainable Development in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Legislative Mentorship Initiative of the Office of the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives and presently serves as a Research Analyst at the Security and Intelligence Policy Lab of the Africa Center for Strategy and Policy. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Political Science from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Africa’s top military university, the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, where he researches intelligence, national security, and defence policy.
